PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy describes how the SLALOM 64 mobile game ("the App", "we") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and have designed the App with a minimal data footprint.
1. Information We Collect
All game progress, settings, and scores are stored exclusively on your device in the App's local storage directory. This includes:
- Your chosen 3-character player initials
- High scores and challenge completion progress
- App settings (music, sound effects, haptics, controls)
- Your analytics consent preference
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
If you opt in to anonymous play stats (see Section 3), a small set of gameplay events is additionally sent to our analytics provider. No personal data is included in these events.
2. Device Sensors
The App offers an optional tilt-to-steer control mode that uses your device's accelerometer via the operating system sensor API. Sensor data is read in real-time only for the purpose of controlling the in-game skier. It is not stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere.
You can enable or disable tilt steering at any time in the Options screen.
3. Anonymous Play Stats (Optional)
On first launch, the App asks whether you would like to share anonymous play stats to help improve the game. This is entirely optional. You can change your choice at any time in the Options screen.
If you opt in, the following gameplay events are sent to our analytics provider:
- Game start — game mode, control mode, selected music track
- Game end — game mode, outcome (finish / crash), score, time, gates hit/missed
- Settings changes — control mode or music track selections
None of these events contain your name, email address, device identifier, or any other personally identifiable information. Events are associated only with a randomly generated anonymous ID that is local to your device.
We use PostHog (EU region, data stored in the European Union) as our analytics provider. PostHog's privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.
If you opt out, no network requests related to analytics are made and no data is sent anywhere. The App functions identically whether you opt in or out.
Legal basis (GDPR): Consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time via the Options screen.
4. Advertising
The App contains no advertising of any kind. There are no ad SDKs, no banner ads, no rewarded ads, and no ad tracking.
5. Children's Privacy
SLALOM 64 is rated PEGI 3 / ESRB Everyone and is suitable for all ages. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
6. Data Security
Local save data is protected by a SHA-256 checksum to prevent tampering. Since no data is transmitted to external servers, there is no network-related security risk from using the App.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
